Bude Wooden Gazebo
The Bude Wooden Garden Gazebo is a low-height timber structure designed to create a sheltered outdoor space while remaining suitable for many garden planning rules. The carefully designed hybrid roof keeps the overall height below 2.5 metres, meaning the gazebo will typically fall within permitted development when positioned close to a boundary.
The Bude gazebo is ideal for creating a covered patio seating area, outdoor dining space or sheltered garden lounge, providing protection from sun and rain while maintaining an open and spacious feel. Its balanced proportions allow it to sit comfortably within smaller gardens or patios without dominating the surrounding space.
Constructed from substantial structural timber posts and braces, the gazebo offers a strong and durable frame designed for long-term outdoor use. The hybrid roof design allows the structure to maintain the appearance of a traditional wooden garden gazebo while keeping the overall height within common planning guidelines.
Like our other wooden gazebos, the Bude can be customised to suit different garden layouts and uses. Optional features such as slatted screen panels, solid wall panels, louvre blinds, bannisters, log stores and guttering can be added to increase privacy and weather protection. A choice of bitumen shingles, cedar shingles or composite slate roofing allows the gazebo to complement both traditional and contemporary garden settings.
The Bude Wooden Garden Gazebo is particularly suited to homeowners looking for a gazebo under 2.5m that can be positioned near garden boundaries, offering a practical and attractive outdoor structure that works within common permitted development limits.

Understanding Gazebo Dimensions
The drawings show the typical proportions of the Bude gazebo and how the overall size relates to the usable space beneath the structure.
When preparing a base, we normally recommend it is at least 100mm larger than the gazebo footprint, with around 600mm of working space on all sides to allow for installation.
The base should also have a slight fall to allow water to drain away, helping prevent moisture sitting around the base of the posts.
If you're unsure about the correct base size or preparation, we're always happy to advise before installation.
